Welcome to The Plough at Wigglesworth

The inn dates back to Georgian times when the village was the centre of a large farming community in the southern Yorkshire Dales. The inn was part of a large estate owned by a Lord Lucas who died during the First World War and the 4000 acre estate was broken up into privately owned farms.

Today the Plough Inn has been fully refurbished to a high standard by Philip and Theresa Walsh who have considerable experience in the hospitality industry; until recently they were the owners of the Three Millstones in West Bradford. The Inn offers contemporary and comfortable en-suite accommodation together with a 60 seater restaurant and bar. During the winter months there is a roaring fire in the fireplace to welcome visitors and The Plough offers excellent service to provide replenishment after a long day's journey.

The Plough is ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland; walkers, cyclists, rock climbers, potholers, golfers and fishermen are all welcome. The Inn is within driving distance of Settle, Clitheroe and Skipton for those wanting to visit a typical market town; lots of country clothing shops, antique stalls and cafes.

There is a large secure car park for cars, motor cycles and bicycles

The Plough also caters for weddings, parties and celebrations in our 50 seater conservatory which overlooks the lawns and the valley beyond.

We look forward to seeing you...
